The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) level Program Analyst for one of the assigned Command level programs such as Installation Mission Support, Logistics Readiness, Nuclear Material Management, Research Development Test & Evaluation, Manpower, and/or Strategic Basing.
Serves as the subject matter expert to the Branch Chief for all activities in planning, organizing and directing integration activities of the Strategy, Planning and Programming Process (SP3). Provides extensive knowledge of Air Force program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operations events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the SP3 process. Prepares and presents high level briefings of conclusion.
Many briefings are highly subjective and not readily susceptible to verification and actual operations situations. Establishes, develops, and maintains a continuous liaison with HQ AFMC offices, Centers, other MAJCOMS, Air Staff, other Services/Agencies, and DoD offices to integrate the SP3 process that supports Air Force planning and programming.
