Job Summary

This position is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), within the Directorate of Administrative Programs (DAP), in the Office of Audit (OOA), located in Washington, DC This position has a full performance level of GS-12. This position is outside the bargaining unit. This position is not remote, selectee will be expected to report to the office above.

Key Responsibilities

Duties for the Program Analyst position include, but are not limited to the following: Developing segments of audit reports to present findings, including strengths, deficiencies, and performance trends. Analyzing and interpreting data from diverse National and field office programs to support audits and program evaluations. Reviewing Regional and National policies and program work to ensure adequate managerial control and identify deficiencies.

Assisting senior analysts in developing recommendations for improvements in field operations and needed changes in procedures and operating programs. Participating in audits of National and Regional Office programs to assess effectiveness, identify performance trends, and inform program direction. As the employee progresses, the assignments will become more difficult and complex with less supervision.
