This position is located in the Quality & Performance directorates of Revenue Operations in the organization of the Office of Finance with the incumbent serving as the Assistant Policy Analyst. The Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC) consists of seven regionally consolidated business entities established to enhance revenue operations throughout the VHA network by standardization, consolidation of functions and the integration of VHA and industry best practices.
Integrates financial and operational business services with the medical facilities' primary functions such as revenue accounting, patient accounts management, cash management, through VISN-level and VAMC-level interaction in the course of policy development and implementation on nationwide scale. Provides support for all policy analysts in assigned directorate requiring a broad-based knowledge of the revenue cycle and the components therein.
Assists in the development and implementation of complex policies and procedures that guide or support service delivery by analyzing legislation, developing new processes, or changes to existing processes to meet the legislative requirements, while contributing to the building of consensus amongst the seven regional CPACs.
Improves performance of financial and operational departments within Revenue Operations and CPAC facilities, while ensuring orientation and continuing education of departmental staff through director and manager-level observation, training and guidance. Assists in the leadership of one or more consolidated, departmental workgroup(s) that make up the cornerstone of the Revenue Operations governance structure.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
