Job Summary

The position's primary purpose is to provide Knowledge Management support to Member Services business line program offices by initiating reviews of knowledge content to ensure that all of the information published in the Knowledge Management portals are current, accurate, accessible and useful to the target audience.

Published Knowledge Management content is used enterprise-wide as authoritative guidance for eligibility and enrollment decisions on Veteran health care and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to: Gathers, analyzes, and interprets Knowledge Management (KM) program data and trends. Performs qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to analyze changes and updates to VA and agency programs, determine impacts of changes to current programs and procedures, and propose and/or recommend new program content or alterations to existing content.

Applies analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature. Uses judgment when deciding what assignments can be handled independently and which assignments require the assistance from senior level analysts.

Conducts knowledge audits, analyzes program data and trends, recommends changes to KM processes and procedures based on analysis of efficiency and effectiveness, and determines ways to work with existing and new technology and/or databases. Provides abstract thinking, knowledge of visual design and techniques, and the ability to envision how alphanumeric codes achieve a desired aesthetic design that will meet the needs of all users who access the information.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 hour shift between 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Remote: This position is not authorized for Remote work. Telework: This position may be authorized for Telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Virtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work. Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to the return to in person work mandate in their current position.

Definition of Virtual work: Employee works outside of original hiring duty station at VA-owned or leased space. Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in affect and selectees will be required to report to in person work unless they have an approved exemption already in place. Location Negotiable: The "location negotiable" option applies to VA employees who are already assigned to a VA duty station.

This option will be implemented in accordance with applicable VA policies, as well as current agency and Presidential guidance.
