This position is located in the Office of Integrity and Compliance (OIC), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), located at the Central Office of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Washington, DC. The purpose of VHA's integrity and compliance program is to enhance and preserve Veterans' trust by promoting a culture of integrity.

The position is responsible for engaging with VHA leadership to identify, assess, and strategically respond to risks that could impact the organization's ability to achieve its mission. Collaborates with agency leadership to support completion of entity risk assessments that capture issues posing broad-reaching risk to the organization.
Supports operating units with the identification of risks, issues, and opportunities in oversight reports and assesses corrective action plans to ensure root cause is being addressed and not creating new, unaddressed risks for the organization. Supports multidisciplinary workgroups to develop data-driven and evidence-based remediation strategy options for non-compliance and high-risk areas.
Reviews proposed actions and, as appropriate, makes recommendations that support achieving a balanced approach to addressing risk. Analyzes risk mitigation strategies to identify opportunities to implement an agency-wide risk response that better leverages resources and provides standardization. Supports the development and delivery of reports and presentations to VHA leadership that inform on a range of topics pertaining to risk and internal control.
Delivers training materials that educate individuals at all levels of responsibility on topics pertaining to VHA's integrated enterprise risk management and internal control framework.
