This position is located in Region 8. The ideal candidate is an experienced Federal HR practitioner and generalist in the execution of actions governed by Title V of the Code of Federal Regulations, and has notable experience analyzing workforce information, coordinating personnel actions, and advising management on moderate-to-complex personnel issues across the full spectrum of human capital initiatives to include hiring, position classification and employee relations.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position you will have demonstrated experience as a self-starter and in customer service across a wide range of HR stakeholders. Typical assignments include: Serving as an HR Liaison between FEMA Region 8 management and the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO), supporting timely and effective processing of personnel actions.
Providing advisory assistance to managers on staffing, recruitment and placement, classification, workforce structure, employee relations and other personnel actions. Analyzing personnel data, organizational requirements, and emerging HR issues to identify problems, develop solutions, and advise management.
Interpreting HR directives, policies, procedures, requirements, and regulatory guidance to staff and management on a wide range of HR programs, such as payroll, leave administration, performance management, employee benefits, on-boarding, out-processing, employee relations, position management, and position classification.
