Job Summary

This position is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), within the Directorate of Administrative Programs (DAP), in the Office of Financial Management (OFM), located in Washington, DC. This position is at the full performance level. This position is inside the bargaining unit. This position is NOT remote. Selectee will be expected to report to the office above.

Key Responsibilities

Duties of the Program Specialist include but are not limited to the following: Implementing new requirements or makes changes to procedures that correspond to new or amended legislation and regulations. Analyzing data and prepares reporting on OSHA debt collection efforts as required by the Chief Financial Officer's Act and specified by Treasury, using key departmental and agency-specific performance measures.

Serving as automated systems expert; assisting Area Offices with problems processing OSHA Information System (OIS) and OSHA Legacy Data (OLD) system financial data. Interpreting and appliying legislative and regulatory requirements to develop directives for OSHA-wide implementation. Supporting the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in the annual audit of OSHA debt collection activities.

Requirements & Education

If your education was completed at a foreign college or university, you must show comparability to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States and comparability to applicable minimum coursework requirements for this position.
