The Incumbent serves as the local coordinator for the Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior (PMDB) training program for the Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System (TVCBHCS) and reports directly to the ACOS for Mental Health.
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating a wide variety of activities related to PMDB, including but not limited to: preparing the annual PMDB training plan for TVCBHCS; scheduling several PMDB open trainings each week in a face-to-face, virtual, or skills assessment format; maintaining an updated roster of PMDB facility trainers and required documents for each trainer; representing the PMDB program in semi-monthly Disruptive Behavior Committee meetings; communicating with supervisors and New Employee Orientation (NEO) administrators to schedule closed classes each week.
Two to eight times a month, the incumbent will spend one workday traveling to other VA facilities within TVCBHCS to oversee and/or conduct PMDB training. A few times a year, the incumbent may be required to travel to other VHA facilities to participate in trainings and conferences required to maintain their Master Trainer status. The incumbent will be the designated Talent Management System (TMS) administrator for PMDB.
They will communicate with Education to annually assign appropriate levels of PMDB training to all TVCBHCS employees, track training attendance and award credit timely in TMS, identify appropriate training exemptions and maintain an accurate record of Alternate Safety Plans, and generate TMS reports several times a month on training enrollment and waitlists, training compliance, or course evaluation data.
The incumbent will regularly review evaluations from TMS and incorporate employee feedback to improve the function and effectiveness of the PMDB program.
