Job Summary

The incumbent serves as Program Specialist at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System's National Center for Warrior Independence by providing a full range of Veteran housing support functions assisting in the formulation and development of organizational facility plans and property management for the Strategic Facility and Master Planning Office.

-Safety and Security: All staff share an unwavering commitment to maintaining a secure, respectful environment, ensuring the physical safety and security of every Veteran and employee working across the north campus.

- Stakeholder & Partnership Collaboration: Staff actively cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, building collaborative partnerships to expand resources, streamline wraparound services, and enhance outcomes for Veterans. - Clinical Assessment & Care: Staff are responsible for regularly assessing the evolving clinical needs of Veterans and delivering or coordinating appropriate, high-quality care tailored to each individual.

-Flexible Scheduling: To best meet the dynamic needs of the Veteran population we serve, many of our positions require flexible scheduling, which may include compressed tours, evening shifts, or weekend availability. Duties include but are limited to: Coordinating between property management and case management to track Veteran residency status and support housing retention. Managing utility billing and collecting financial information through audits.

Acting as the point of contact for billing-related inquiries. Participating in community meetings with Veteran residents. Conducting and documenting visual inspections of the outer grounds. Supporting Office of Asset Enterprise management (OAEM) with monthly EUL inspections and leading annual EUL inspections (AOCC).

Providing property managers with flyers and information about upcoming construction impacts as well as Veteran opportunities and events Supports collection and delivery all required monitoring data, reports, and project documentation within established timeframes. The LSM must also notify Housing Management Specialists, HUD-VASH, Safety, VAPD, OAEM, and ELT of any issues related to their assigned EUL project, following established communication protocols.

Providing support to property management programs including developing property management programs by coordinating short-, mid-, and long-range planning aligned with SFMP goals and Veteran housing needs Develop and analyze business processes for Enhanced Use Lease and Veteran residential programs, ensure timely submission of required monitoring data and reports, and collaborated with property managers, service providers, and Veterans to resolve issues and support housing retention Conducting visual inspections of residential facilities, supporting utility reimbursement processes, participating in resident community meetings, and communicating construction impacts and Veteran program opportunities to maintain safe, informed, and well-supported residential environments Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am PST to 4:30 pm PST Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
