Incumbent serves as the Veterans Service Center (VSC) Training Coordinator. The Training Coordinator plays a key role in the development & maintenance of a training infrastructure for the RO by enhancing consistency of training initiatives, enhancing the network of training communication, reducing duplication and enhancing economy of scale, and serving as the point of contact for directed training initiatives.
The position is located in the Office of the Veterans Service Center Manager (VSCM).
Specific duties include: Responsible for planning, developing, directing, tracking conducting, and operating training programs that provide for the development or advancement of individual employees. Coordinates and tracks training and advises management on all aspects of technical training policy. Evaluates training programs and plans develops and installs new or modified programs.
Identifies the duties, tasks and elements necessary for various tasks within VSC and selects from these duties the tasks requiring training. Develops training modules, measures of job performance, and methods/levels of proficiency certification. Analyzes existing courses and chooses instruction settings. Administers or coordinates training modules, proctors and scores testing, and reports results for RVSRs, VSRs and other positions within VSC.
Provides formalized training on trends noted on quality reviews by using STAR review results, regulations, directives, and other relevant material to train all VSC staff in relevant phases of division work. Coordinates with Veterans Service Center Manager and Assistant Veterans Service Center Managers, Coaches, VSC staff and others to identify, plan and develop training needed in the Veterans Service Center.
Incumbent will be responsive to training needs identified by management at all times. Incumbent coordinates and/or conducts training with other divisions. Promotion Potential: None.
