This Program Specialist position is located at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Working closely with the Federal Security Director (FSD) to coordinate, implement, and maintain an effective program to communicate TSA's policies, programs, and directives. Identifying and responding to stakeholders' questions, problems, and concerns regarding security.
Overseeing and addressing customer service inquiries. Identifying and responding to opportunities to further the aims of the organization to the public. Managing and supporting the collection of various performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and areas in need of process improvement. Managing supplies, including both procurement and inventory management.
Coordinating solutions to information technology (IT) problems; coordinating staff efforts concerning the acquisition and use of specialized software applications. Conducting in-depth analyses regarding potential conflicts of airport administrative procedures with overall TSA administrative policies. Providing airport management with status reports and planned activities in assigned program areas.
Providing management advisory services to the FSD staff and providing the first line response to airport employee inquiries.

TSA will not make a monetary payment for any leave forfeited under these circumstances.
