Job Summary

This position serves as a Program Specialist (GS-9) supporting clinical program coordination, data management, and operational activities. The incumbent analyzes, evaluates, and coordinates healthcare delivery processes within the Epilepsy Center of Excellence (ECoE), with responsibility for improving access, efficiency, and quality across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities

Major Duties: Maintains and manages clinical and operational databases used to support epilepsy program activities. Develops and executes database queries to retrieve, validate, and analyze healthcare data. Designs dashboards and reports that monitor program performance, utilization, and operational outcomes. Analyzes healthcare delivery processes and identifies opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Evaluates program data and develops recommendations to support leadership decision making. Coordinates program activities involving clinical, administrative, and operational stakeholders. Develops, maintains, and updates program procedures, documentation, and operational resources. Prepares written reports and presentations communicating analytical findings and recommendations.

Supports program evaluation, quality improvement, and research-related activities through data collection and analysis. Provides guidance regarding program processes, workflow requirements, and operational procedures. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (Subject to change based on the needs of the Agency) Telework: Ad-hoc Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

There may be occasional walking, standing, and carrying of light materials such as documents or equipment. Work Environment: Work is performed in an office and clinical environment with typical safety precautions. The employee may have occasional exposure to clinical settings such as outpatient clinics or inpatient units but is not exposed to hazardous conditions beyond those normally encountered in a healthcare facility.
