The VA Desert Pacific Healthcare System is seeking a Prosthetic Representative for the VISN 22 Network Impact Team. The incumbent must have analytical ability, social awareness, tact and diplomacy, and good communication skills. He/she must possess knowledge of established management principles, concepts and methodology to identify, analyze and resolve managerial and administrative issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.

Authorizes and prepares purchase orders. Assists in developing Statement of Work for service contracts. Receive, analyze and process requests for prosthetic equipment and services. Responds to a variety of correspondence, i.e.
contractors, Home Oxygen program issues, Congressionals. Assists in planning, developing and preparing budget estimates. Assists in analyzing costs to develop cost containment initiatives. Determines eligibility. Authorizes benefit payment and reimbursement. Conduct home and vendor visits. Procures materials, supplies and equipment for inventory. Manages, maintains and controls inventory. Represents the Prosthetics Service in public relations activities, i.e.
lectures, town halls, and in-services. Provides employee training. Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays; 8:00 am -4:30 pm Telework: Available. ADHOC - as determined by the agency policy.
