This position serves as the Realty Specialist for the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering (OEH&E). The incumbent is responsible for managing and directing an Area-Wide real property program involving IHS leasing programs for tribal and private sector facilities. This position will report to the Director, Office of Environmental Health and Engineering. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight responsibilities in all real property principles, concepts, and practices. Track the asset value and maintain accurate accountability of all government-owned facilities. Develop facilities certification statements regarding historical and environmental issues on all real property disposal actions.
Develop easements, revocable licenses, use permits, and rights-of-way for use of federal property by other federal agencies, tribal organizations, state or local governments, or other non-federal entities. Prepare and submit annual budget projections for leased space costs and identify new program requirements for additional leases.
