Job Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Nellis AFB, NV. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Must have an approved nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed. When working at pools, may operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specified standards.
Ensures that diving boards are inspected frequently for cracks or loose matting, and that necessary repairs are made. May perform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks, sunbathing areas, etc. If interested in applying for this position you may preview the online application: https://apply.usastaffing.gov/ViewQuestionnaire/13060391
