The primary purpose of this position is: To plan, manage, and administer comprehensive year-round youth physical fitness and sports programs and facilities used in conducting the activities at Air Force (AF) installations.
Plans, develops, organizes, and administers diverse, multi-faceted and comprehensive physical fitness and sports programs. Acts as Chapter Director of the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and/or certified clinician forstaffand volunteer training as mandated by Air Force directives. Administers sports, fitness, and instructional resource programs.
Under the direction of the YouthSportsDirector, assists in developing appropriated fund (APF) and non-appropriated fund (NAF) budgetinputs, andprepares justifications for funding program resources and requirements. Identifies and plans forrepairs andmaintenance of facilities, activity areas, supplies, equipment and expenditures that support day-to-day operationsand long-term goals and objectives of the youth sports and fitness programs.
Initiates purchaserequests, arranges forsupplies and services, and other resource related documents. In conjunction with the Youth Sports Program Director, procures, stores, disperses, repairs, replaces,andcontrols all youth sport and athletic equipment and supplies. Responsible for the operations and maintenance of a variety of sport and fitness fields and facilities.
