The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Wichita, Kansas is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for their Quality Management Department. The Accreditation Coordinator is a key person to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate compliance accrediting agencies to include, but not limited to, the Joint Commission (TJC), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Combined Assessment Program (CAP), etc.
The Accreditation Coordinator provides support and guidance to the leaders and staff throughout the facility. Overall responsibilities include the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of activities designated to assess and improve the performance of functions and processes related to patient care and administrative compliance with regulatory guidelines.
The Accreditation Coordinator is expected to travel at least quarterly to each Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) within the Robert J. Dole's responsibility. Duties include but not limited to: Continuous responsibility of the changes within the accreditation process and requirements. Working with information of a confidential nature, to include, but not limited to: staff performance related to regulatory compliance.
It is imperative that the facility has a high degree of confidence that his information is treated with utmost sensitivity. Core elements of performance include knowledge and active participation in the department level quality improvement process and initiatives as well as customer service programs. Other duties as assigned.
