This announcement includes opportunities across multiple units and clinics within the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System, including Long Term Care (Inpatient Community Living Center: Blind Rehab, Short Stay, Long Stay, Dementia, Hospice), Spinal Cord Injury - Long Term SCI, Nursing Psychology (Inpatient Mental Health - WCT6, Psych Float; Outpatient Mental Health - Veterans Addiction Recovery Center), and Critical Care (MICU, SICU). As a Staff Nurse, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured Veterans. Responsibilities include documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition; collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes; and delivering a full range of nursing care to patients with diverse medical or behavioral needs. Staff Nurses are accountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards and functional statements associated with their grade level. We are seeking candidates with strong organizational skills, demonstrated leadership within a patient-centered care model, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and members of the interdisciplinary team. The incumbent is expected to lead by example in promoting a customer-service culture-treating all individuals with respect and civility-and to actively cultivate partnerships with our customers to develop effective solutions that meet their needs.
