Supports 24/7 unit's operations by providing day-to-day clinical leadership, coordinating and evaluating patient care, managing resources, assisting with staff orientation, training, development, and performance.
Serves as charge nurse and staff resource, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, promotes evidence-based practice and process improvement, ensures regulatory compliance, supports quality and patient safety, and advances staff education, accountability, and professional growth.
Duties include and aren't limited to the following: Nurse I, Level 1 Provides fundamental nursing care using the nursing process with close supervision. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates age-specific patient care. Coordinates care focused on patient education, self-management, satisfaction, and safety. Supports unit operations, resource use, patient care coverage, and continuity of care.
Participates in staff orientation, training, education, development, and process improvement. Nurse I, Level 2 Provides technically competent professional nursing care using the nursing process with general supervision. Manages assigned patient care and appropriately delegates tasks to team members. Coordinates care focused on patient education, self-management, satisfaction, and safety.
Supports unit operations, resource management, patient care coverage, and continuity of care. Supports staff education, development, evidence-based practice, and unit-level performance improvement. Nurse I, Level 3 Provides self-directed nursing care to patients with complex needs with occasional supervision. Independently plans, prioritizes, implements, and evaluates patient care. Provides clinical direction to staff and functions as a team leader or charge nurse.
Supports orientation, training, mentoring, education, and professional development of staff. Applies evidence-based practice and participates in unit-level performance and care improvement activities. Nurse II Leads evidence-based nursing care for patients with complex needs within the immediate practice setting. Leads staff involvement in care planning, decision-making, and evaluation of outcomes.
Provides clinical leadership for teams, staff education, mentoring, precepting, and development. Leads patient care, quality improvement, resource utilization, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Supports unit operations, regulatory compliance, patient care coverage, and continuity of 24/7 services. Nurse III Leads and organizes expert nursing practice with outcomes beyond the immediate practice setting.
Applies advanced clinical judgment to lead care planning, decision-making, and outcome evaluation. Leads interdisciplinary teams and initiatives to improve patient care, safety, experience, and nursing practice. Leads education, mentoring, professional development, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement. Supports unit operations, strategic initiatives, resource management, regulatory compliance, and continuity of 24/7 services.
