These Registered Nurse positions are located in the Community Living Center (CLC) Service (Long Term Care Unit) at the Manchester VA location. These positions are intermittent positions.
Included but are not limited to: Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care based on age-specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction.
Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stages, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
Assures appropriate documentation reflects the assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical interventions, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments. Follows Bar Code Medication Policy (BCMP) guidelines at all times. Work Schedule: Intermittent. Rotating Shifts, Weekends, Evenings. Telework: Not Available. Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized. Notifications: These are not Bargaining Unit Positions. These position are in the Excepted Service These position are covered by a special rate. Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF-50, (Notice of Personnel Action). The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted).
In some cases, more than one SF-50 may be required to show a higher grade previously held.
