Job Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available. The first group of eligible applicants will be referred to the hiring manager on September 2, 2026, and bi-weekly thereafter. Applications will remain on file until 08/25/2027.

The Community Living Center (CLC) Registered Nurse (RN) executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex resident care. Duties and responsibilities included, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age specific components.

Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.

Day versus night shift and specific days off are not guaranteed. Shifts are based on the needs of the facility. Compressed Schedule: Supervisory discretion; shifts may include day, evening, night, weekend and holiday coverage as needed by facility.
