The Miami VA Healthcare System's Nursing Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse-Supervisor Perioperative. The Nurse II Nursing Supervisor/Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) Perioperative supports the Nurse Manager (NM) as an Assistant Nurse Manager (Secondary) and Nurse on Duty (NOD) (Primary) with supervisory duties and responsibility and accountability for the 24/7 operation of their designated units. They provide coverage for other ANMs and NODs as needed. Duties include but are not limited to: Oversee operations of a nursing unit/patient care area.
Assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for managing and directing employees, staffing units, and allocating resources as necessary. Fosters team development, ensures compliance with standards of clinical practice, and serves as a key liaison between staff and leadership. This role combines clinical proficiency with leadership.
Responsibility and accountability for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and provides input into the evaluation of individual. Enhance care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to remove barriers and implement new evidence-based cutting-edge programs/processes.
