* This is a Time Limited Position * The Research Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing individuals to determine their qualification for inclusion in research protocols, responsible for understanding the regulatory guidelines that guide the conduct of research, assessing, and acting independently within scope in response to research related issues, communicating effectively with patients, their significant others, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members involved in research.
The Research Registered Nurse is responsible to the Principal Investigator and/or the Associate Chief of Staff/Research and Development (ACOS/R&D) Responsibilities of the Research Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to the following: Assessing individuals to determine their qualification for inclusion is research protocols Responsible for understanding the regulatory guidelines that guide the conduct of research Assessing and acting independently within scope in response to research related issues Communicating effectively with patients, their significant others, nursing staff, & other healthcare team members Screening patients for inclusion in studies Providing information relevant to studies Obtaining informed consent Assist in directing the provision of research education and regulatory compliance assessment Engage in quality improvement for study recruitment protocols VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
