Job Summary

This position is located at Departmental Offices, Office of the Executive Secretary. As a Review Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting mission-critical functions within the office. The incumbent will assist in coordinating policy and operational documents, tracking and analyzing issues requiring leadership attention, managing workflows and deadlines, and ensuring that materials meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-11. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Provide administrative support functions for tracking and monitoring policy and operational issues within an assigned portfolio to ensure policy consistency and support for the Administration and the Department's priorities and programs.

Review and analyze materials for the office for policy consistency and identify policy concerns, bringing these to the attention of others in the Office of the Executive Secretary. Assist senior staff with tracking and monitoring policy and operational issues within an assigned portfolio to ensure policy consistency and support for the Administration and the Department's priorities and programs.

Analyze policy and operational recommendations, providing recommendations to senior specialists and analysts. Assist senior staff with developing briefing materials for the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and other key officials concerning relevant policy issues and major indicators of interest to the Department.

Requirements & Education

The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.
