Job Summary

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for managing security cooperation and functional certification and training for the DSCS, a population of 1500 personnel in 140 locations with a broad set of professional certifications to meet requirements of Section 384 of the National Defense Authorization Act.

Key Responsibilities

As a SCO MANAGEMENT TRAINING COORDINATOR at the GS-0301-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: The incumbent is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of the programs, policies, and procedures involved in managing pre-assignment training, including pre-deployment, in-service, and sustainment, of personnel (Service Members, U.S.

Government Civilian Employees, and Locally Employed Staff) selected for overseas assignments in US Military Groups (MILGPs). The incumbent performs a variety of administrative, support, and management activities essential for day-to-day operations across diverse organizations and missions. Conducts training strategy and program development, creating comprehensive training strategies and programs aligned with organizational goals.

Develops and maintain mechanisms to report global training and certification levels across all specialties. Manage the Security Cooperation workforce training pipeline by tracking certification requirements, coordinating course enrollment, and ensuring personnel complete mandatory training prior to overseas assignment.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
