Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-12, to serve as a Special Access Program (SAP) security specialist, providing physical, industrial, personnel, operational, communications and information security management disciplines in support of the 388th Fighter Wing and 419th Fighter Wing.

Key Responsibilities

- Initiate action to integrate organizational, wing, Air Force, and national security objectives while researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying National, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), USAF, and Major Command (MAJCOM) policies which protect classified information as well as national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by the wing and associated personnel.

- Establish and assist other personnel in the development of security procedures. - Establish local procedure for processing requests for access to classified information for military, civilian, and contractor personnel assigned to the wing and supported organizations.

- Review solicitation and contract documents to ensure they include the appropriate security clauses and language and Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254) for technical accuracy and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval.

-Implement organizational, National, DoD, IC, USAF, MAJCOM, and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) policies and directives for the construction, protection, and operation of all SAP and SCI facilities for force protection and anti-terrorism.
