The primary purpose of this position is to serve as security specialist for the 22nd Air Refueling Wing (22 ARW) an organization with subordinate organizations below them to protect resources from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to the organization's mission interests, national defense or national security.

Key Responsibilities

DUTY 1: Serves as Primary Special Security Officer executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the Wing's SCI program with DoD, Command, legal, and regulatory requirements. DUTY 2: Executes and enforces compliance with the Wing SCI personnel security program. Interprets AF, DoD, and national regulations and laws for SCI Personnel Security processes as they apply and are implemented within the 22 ARW.

DUTY 3: Serves as the Wing's representative for SCI Industrial Security issues. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the Wing's multiple missions in order to facilitate the protection of classified and SCI access as required by contract performance. DUTY 4: Administers the SCI Physical Security Program for the 22 ARW.

Uses comprehensive knowledge of the integrated Wing's mission to advise commanders and/or involved parties on security facilities/equipment/alarm installation, maintenance, and use.

Requirements & Education

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
