Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Chief of Special Security for the 7th Bomb Wing (BW) and subordinate organizations, to protect resources from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to the organization's mission interests, national defense or national security.

Key Responsibilities

DUTY 1: Serves as the Chief of Special Security for the 7 BW and Unit Security Manager for the 7 OSS and 7 OG staff. Leads development of goals and objectives that synergize operational objectives with effective security management. DUTY 2: Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program.

Interprets AF, DoD, and national regulations and laws for Personnel Security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization for both SCI and collateral personnel. DUTY 3: Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of multiple customer missions in order to facilitate the protection of classified and SCI access as required by contract performance.

DUTY 4: Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization. Uses comprehensive knowledge of the integrated organization's mission to advise commanders and or involved parties on security facilities/equipment/alarm installation, maintenance, and use.
