The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Force Engineering and Technical Services (AFETS) senior technical advisor at the command level on complex and sophisticated systems/equipment to support MAJCOM and subordinate units.

AFETS senior technical advisor performs short notice TDY, deployments and/or PCS moves to meet worldwide mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Serves as Air Force technical advisor at the command level to Major Command (MAJCOM) functional managers, Air Force units, Air Logistics Centers (ALC) and Depots in the maintenance, operation, and training related to complex and sophisticated systems, and equipment. As MAJCOM technical advisor, provides technical advice to senior leaders and functional managers in the maintenance, operation, and training related to complex and sophisticated systems and equipment.

Provides technical assistance to field units in resolving complex system/equipment problems. Identifies, develops and conducts informal training to include: over-the-shoulder, classroom, demonstration, group, one-on-one, and spontaneous training.
