Job Summary
The incumbent accomplishes U.S. goals in Codex, promotes U.S. Codex positions, educates the public on Codex activities, enhances and assesses public participation in the Codex process, and supports efforts to harmonize the development of international and U.S. food standards. This is a 1 year detail/temporary promotion. This assignment may be ended earlier or extended, based on management's needs. It may also be made permanent without further competition.
Key Responsibilities
Leads interagency and U.S. Codex Office colleagues in team efforts to formulate plans and procedures for accomplishing the U.S. Government’s objectives related to Codex.
