Services include psychosocial and diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, provision of individual and group psychotherapy, evidence-informed skills training, family/couples psychotherapy/psychoeducation, and crisis intervention.
The focus of care is the delivery of specialized and evidence based interventions for Veterans recovering from serious mental illnesses (SMI). Care/case management are provided, as needed for the Veteran and family. Services are delivered in collaboration with members of the BHIP team and other interdisciplinary treatment teams, as appropriate. The Social Worker will collaborate with other members of the BHIP team in the provision of team-based health care services.
This is an advanced practice level position, requiring the incumbent to be a subject matter expert, with advanced knowledge in the delivery of psychotherapy and psychosocial interventions for Veterans recovering from severe functional impairments related to serious mental illnesses. The incumbent acts as a consultant to colleagues on the interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-informed care and treatment for Veterans recovering from SMI and co-morbid diagnoses.
The incumbent routinely uses measurement-based care (MBC) in the delivery of services and is informed by VA/DOD clinical guidelines in independently selecting treatment options for Veterans and their families. Work Schedule: Compressed schedule, 4 10-hour days available.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
