This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

This Staff Psychologist provides comprehensive behavioral and mental health services to Veterans including diagnosis of mental disorders, conducting psychological assessments, and treatment of mental disorders through a variety of modalities, including individual, family, and group psychotherapies, with an emphasis on comprehensive mental health evaluation and evidenced-based time-limited interventions that are collaborative and well-coordinated. The Staff Psychologist duties include: Provides a full range of mental and behavioral health diagnostic services including Compensation and Pension evaluations as assigned. Serves as an authoritative source of information in the use and interpretation of tests to make differential diagnoses. Interviews patients, determines the type of assessment battery needed, conducts testing, interprets the results of testing and produces reports with conclusions and/or recommendations. Presents informed reports or educates multi-disciplinary staff on the use of newly proven or evidence-based interventions. Consults with medical and/or mental health staff on the development or evaluation of mental and/or behavioral health intervention programs. Provides comprehensive professional care documentation in the patient record system, adhering with timeliness standards for quality care. Engages in clinical care team meetings and ensuring coordination of care with other clinicians involved in the treatment plan of the patient. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; One day of evening hours worked per week is required. Times and day are negotiable.
