The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Aircrew Management Branch of AFRC.
Provides effective MAJCOM level management of AFRC's aircrew forces and the resources necessary to sustain their readiness to perform missions.
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Aircrew Management Branch, ensuring that AFRC's aircrew force management complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. DUTY 3: Represents AFRC/A3RB with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
DUTY 4: Develops long-range program plans and goals, evaluates programs and assists key command Air Force decision makers in directing flying activities for the Air Force. DUTY 5: Develops command policy on flight management issues, to include aircrew disqualification actions, flight evaluation board actions, flight pay issues, flight orders, aeronautical orders, orientation flight policy, the logging of flying hours and training events, and AFORMS policy.
DUTY 6: Advises senior leadership on critical aircrew management issues and accomplishes a variety of special projects for director of Air, Space and Information Operations and command leadership on matters related to aircrew retention, Operations Tempo, and other aircrew management issues.
