Key Responsibilities

Relocation Authorized Position: All relocations will be placed on hold at the time of selection, as USBP awaits to receive funding. As soon as funding becomes available, you will be contacted by the CBP Hiring Center to coordinate an enter on duty (EOD) date and complete the necessary relocation forms. This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally. This position starts at a salary of $152,040.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10). As a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (Chief Patrol Agent), you will serve as a secondary law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C.8331 (c) and 8412 (d)). Typical work assignments will include: Leading law enforcement and border patrol operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies.

Overseeing the development and implementation of national security operations while coordinating with other federal agencies. Analyzing the sector's mission, goals, and objectives to design an organizational structure that is efficient. Supervising coordination with foreign governments in conducting joint operations and sharing of information and intelligence to address transnational crime.
