This position is located in Region Four, Response Division. The ideal candidate for this position will be experienced in leading emergency management planning teams, coordinating all-hazards response planning across agencies, and supervising staff responsible for operational readiness and plan development.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Response). Typical assignments include: Supervising staff performing mission-oriented emergency management planning and coordinating workload, performance, and professional development. Advising regional leadership on immediate-response, humanitarian, and all-hazards planning issues.
Coordinating deliberate and operational planning with State, Tribal, local, Federal, nongovernmental, and private-sector partners. Developing courses of action and documenting resource requirements for regional response operations. Assessing readiness, capturing lessons learned, identifying corrective actions, and implementing improvements to regional response capabilities. What else do I need to know?

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
