Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Administration, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
Key Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Equal Employment Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Providing administrative and technical supervision; Establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff members. Serving as a technical expert on the EEO program, policy and/or practices.
Analyzing and evaluating case materials to establish the facts and circumstances surrounding the complaint. If necessary, initiating further investigations to obtain data needed to clarify or establish the facts and issues involved. Applying legal principles and analytical methods to facts and issues, to determine if discrimination occurred. Managing the Departments class action and conflict case programs.
Leading the EEO Audit program within Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Strategic Engagement and Partnerships (EEOSP) to ensure the Office is implementing the regulations and HHS policies properly.
