Job Summary
This position is located in the DEA, Financial Management Division, Office of Administration, Business Operations Section, Financial and Administrative Unit. This position(s) primary purpose is to oversee procedural program planning and analysis, formulate and provide financial reports, and ensure that required information and obligation transactions is entered into the Financial System.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist your typical work assignments may include: Serves as a technical authority in determining short- and long-range program goals, objectives, and key indicators that measure program performance. Develops, implements, and evaluates status reporting and tracking systems in conjunction with receipt and allocation of various accounts' funding and the obligation and expenditure of these funds.
Maintains current information on the status of all operations and maintenance funds to identify actual or potential problem areas, trends, deficiency situations, areas of imbalance, or similar factors that could impact the effective management control of these funds.
Assigns work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs.
