This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading a team in at least one of the following areas: accounts payable; bank card program administration; accounts receivable; accounting analysis and reporting.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position you will serve as a supervisor in the Financial Management Division, Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
The position will direct and manage financial services performed by a functional work group in one or more of the following areas: travel payments; vendor payments; bank card management; payment certification; mission assignments; IAA and reimbursables; accounting reconciliation and analysis; accounting interfaces and reporting; debt establishment; debt collection; receipts, or debt management.
Typical assignments include: Advising agency managers on the pertinence of accounting data to program operations; on the fiscal management of program operations; and promote efficiency in distribution, reallocation, and use of funds. Ensuring validity of data entered into a variety of basic and specialized accounts which are integrated into a large complex accounting system.
Reviewing processes and identifies operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting services and reporting. Prepareing written documents such as memoranda, operating instructions and manuals, training materials, briefings, and other related documents. Supervising the staff of a designated functional activity.
Responsible for fulfilling EEO requirements by carrying out EEO policies, and assuring quality in determining qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotions, details, discipline and awards.
