The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Deputy Division Chief, as second level supervisor, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over supervisory and nonsupervisory employees assigned to HQUSAFE-AFAFRICA/A5I, International Affairs Division.
Works with the Division Chief in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA/ A5I, International Affairs Division. Participates with the Division Chief in the exercise of supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area knowledge.
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with counterparts at Air Force headquarters, the Joint Staff, USEUCOM, USAFRICOM, Sister Component Commands, US Embassies, Offices of Defense Cooperation, and the Defense Attachés.
