The primary purpose Is to serve as the Deputy Chief of the Civil Engineer Division in the Directorate of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection at Headquarters Air Mobility Command. The incumbent shares with the Division Chief the full scope of responsibility for planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over employees and functions of the Division.

Works with the Division Chief in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Division. Collaborates with the Division Chief in the exercise of supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Serves as the command focal point for built infrastructure investment strategies and policies.
