This position of Supervisory Investigator, Whistleblower Complaint Investigations, (WCI), is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), within the Directorate of Whistleblower Protection Programs (DWPP). This position is outside the bargaining unit. This position is at the full performance level. This is not a remote position. Selectee must report in person to a DOL office, location to be decided after selection.
Major Duties of the Supervisory Investigator include, but are not limited to, the following: Working closely with Office and Assistant Directors in coordinating the Whistleblower Protection Program, implementing new and revised plans and procedures, and in identifying problems within the program. Developing new and revising existing policies for the whistleblower statues delegated to DWPP.
Overseeing OSHA's whistleblower complaint investigations conducted by Investigators to assure that they are administered fairly, uniformly, and accurately within the framework of established standards and policies. Directing the provision of expert technical advice and guidance to OSHA staff at the national and regional level. Contributing through various employer and employee groups to a variety of programs designed to inform the public of agency policies and objectives.
Directing the preparation of comments and position papers on proposed policies developed by other agencies potentially impacting and Agency's whistleblower protection program.
