Job Summary

This position is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), within the Directorate of Whistleblower Protection Programs (DWPP). This position is outside the bargaining unit. This position is at the full performance level. The location is negotiable after selection; this is not a remote position. Selectee must report in person to a DOL office.

Key Responsibilities

Duties for the Supervisory Investigator include, but are not limited to, the following: Directing the development and promulgation of regulations for existing and new whistleblower statutes received by the agency. Directing the development and continued maintenance of the Investigations Manual, the repository of all current whistleblower investigative policies and procedures.

Analyzing nationwide program performance data to identify trends, problems, and areas requiring corrective action. Reviewing results of nationwide program-performance analyses and determines which recommendations to accept and implement. Developing the Directorate of Whistleblower Protection Program's (DWPP) strategic plan in support of agency goals, including establishing and monitoring its performance measures and operating plan.

Reviewing current and proposed regulations and procedures to evaluate consistency with DWPP policies; recommends appropriate changes to DWPP policies and procedures.
