The incumbent serves as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and will be responsible for performing the following duties and responsibilities, which include but are not limited to: Provides broad policy analysis, consultation, and program management to the Agency in information security, risk, and privacy. Develops and implements agency-wide IT security policies, procedures, and best practices for threat and risk assessment, planning, and program management.
Oversees the OIG Security Program, including planning, coordinating, and controlling information system security and privacy for the entire organization. Manages the Agency's compliance with federal information security and privacy legislation, directives, standards, and guidelines (e.g., FISMA, Computer Security Act, OMB Circular A-130).
Coordinates and leads teams to conduct vulnerability assessments and reviews of OIG critical issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Provides technical guidance and consultation to OIG management and serves as a focal point for IT security audits and evaluations. Directs and supervises subordinate staff, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work, and providing counsel on policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Represents OIG at meetings and conferences, maintaining professional contacts with high-level officials, and presenting agency positions and proposals.

The posted pay range is $150359 – $197200/yr.
