As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) (Lead Project Manager / Product Owner) you will be responsible for the following duties: Leads and directs teams acting as a primary stakeholder in the underlying information technology operational processes and functions that support the service, provide direction and monitor all significant activities to deliver successful service.
Applies advanced knowledge of system life cycle management principles, including software security and usability. Applies advanced knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Applies advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design applications and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Leads and directs consultation with customers to evaluate functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions, acting as the primary translator between the highly technical engineering teams and senior DoD/DCSA leadership.
Leads implementation strategies for system development, performance management, and operational logistics, ensuring the product roadmap aligns with DoD acquisition cycles to provide the Agile Release Train (ART). The Office Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security established a Targeted Local Market Supplement (TLMS) for certain Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Cyber positions within the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System.
Eligibility for the TLMS is based on cyber work roles within certain occupational series and on the work performed. This vacancy is designated as a STEM and/or Cyber position and pay for the incumbent will be based on the STEM and Cyber Pay Table.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
