The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the USSOCOM Enterprise Defensive Cyberspace Operations Branch.
Key Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of USSOCOM Enterprise Defensive Cyberspace Operations Branch, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Responsible for planning, management, technical direction and 24x7 defensive cybersecurity operational readiness, Cybersecurity Service Provider, and Cybersecurity Incident Response Team supporting SOF personnel executing operations around the world across four (4) networks, 1100+ deployed satellite ground and shipboard units.
Serves as the Enterprise Defensive Cyberspace Operations Branch senior technical expert in matters pertaining to the DCO for USSOCOM Special Operations Force Information Environment (SIE). Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmatic view point to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.
This position is with Air Force Elements, U.S. Special Operations Command, Department of the Air Force.
