The primary purpose of this position is to serve as branch chief, providing, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising second level supervisory and managerial authorities over employees assigned to HQ AMC/A1MF. Plans, organizes, oversees and directs the activities of the Future Operations Branch. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and manpower and organization objectives. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies command policies, procedures, and mission objectives. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management or headquarters. Represents the Future Operations Branch with a variety of command and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with AMC senior staff, AMC Functional Managers, AMC staff, HQ Air Force staff, wing and field operating organizations.
Provides management advisory services to senior level managers concerning manpower programming, program cost analysis, outsourcing and privatization, manpower allocation and organization issues. Briefs the AMC senior staff and headquarters functional representatives on new Congressional, OSD and Air Force initiatives in the areas of service provided by the office that could result in significant changes in manpower or organization.
