Job Summary
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Office of Executive Assistant Commissioner, Budget Division/Formulation, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will serve as a first-line supervisor responsible for supporting and managing subordinate staff, developing and evaluating policies in assigned program areas, taking necessary action to achieve organizational objectives, and recommending future program objectives and improvements. This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
Typical duties include: Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a division and/or branch within CBP overseeing various functions and/or administrative programs Developing, implementing, and monitoring automated systems that focus on long and short range plans, policies and programs Overseeing programs to determine progress against long-range plans and determine necessary personnel, funding, and other resource adjustments Directing and planning work to be accomplished by subordinates with various branches within the agency Providing advice to supervisor of significant issues and problems related to work accomplishments GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area.
