This position starts at a salary of $108,455.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $140,994.00 (GS-13, Step 10) In this Supervisory Mission Support Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures.
Typical work assignments include: Supervising a group of administrative employees who are responsible for assessing the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations or who analyze and resolve problems in the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities.
Providing complex administrative services, including, but not limited to, management and information systems, budget, finance, procurement, personnel, telecommunications, logistics, records and files, printing, mail, travel, and office equipment. Providing representation for the office in dealings with vendors and organizations within the agency that have primary responsibility for these services.
Establishing and carrying out specific action plans or accomplishing short term goals and objectives. Making decisions and resolving problems involving interpretation of the law or unusual situations requiring interpretation and application of DHS policy.
