Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Three Points Station, located in Tucson, AZ. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
In this position, you will supervise a team of administrative personnel who coordinate and perform a wide variety of mission support services essential to United States Border Patrol (USBP) operations. This position starts at a salary of $91,205.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $118,569.00 (GS-12, Step 10). As a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience supervising employees providing services in direct support of operational programs.
Typical duties and responsibilities include: Supervising a team that coordinates and performs a wide variety of administrative and management services essential to the operations of USBP. Advising management on administrative matters; conducting or participating in the evaluation of administrative programs, systems, and methods to identify areas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these services.
Overseeing a team that researches, evaluates, prioritizes and recommends solutions for critical issues. Supervising a team of administrative personnel and speaks authoritatively on in-depth knowledge of policies, commitments and interests.
