Job Summary
You will serve as the Deputy Associate Regional Director-Lands and Planning with the Lands and Planning Division of the National Capital Regional Office in Washington, D.C. You will provide management and policy direction for all program areas of the Office of Lands and Planning.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Manages the Environmental Compliance (NEPA), Environmental Systems Management, Planning and Geographic Information Systems Programs. Executes written and verbal direction to make changes or adjustment required. Provides leadership in emphasizing overall direction for division activities.
Plans and directs new area studies, park protection for adjacent land use and land resources management, environmental compliance, land acquisition and right of way administration, and non-budgetary legislation.
Directs the study, analysis and preparation of development projects, transportation projects, proposed by private and public entities adjacent to parklands are mitigated through active participation in relevant state or local planning processes to protect park resources and the Federal interest. Compiles program budget needs, communicates these needs and is responsible for allocating and tracking monies.
Serves as a regional liaison for park projects seeking approval at National Capital Planning Commission and the Commission of Fine Arts.
